Graduated from Wake Forest University. I have now been practicing chemistry for more than 30 years. One of these days, I might "get it right", Ha! My career started at Ciba-Geigy Corporation in Greensboro, NC, then later as Director of Chemistry at En-Cas Analytical Services in Winston-Salem, NC. Later I set-up the Aquatic Toxicological Section and Chemistry Sections for Wildlife International in Easton, Maryland. Most recently I have move near Philadelphia, PA to set-up some additional chemical groups for Arkema/Total and now for Jai Research Foundation (where I served as Vice President of Operations for JRF America running the chemistry groups for the Americas). I have moved back to Winston-Salem NC and married my junior high / high school sweetheart after being apart for over 30 years. I am so lucky to be back home and have a loving wife (and nurse) Sharon to look after me and keep me on the straight and narrow path.
In my spare time, I serve on the Council of the American Chemical Society, where I chair some national committees, as well as serve on the Advisory Board for the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. I fondly remember the good times at East Forsyth and especially my days as manager of the basketball team and the charitable events sponsored by the Key Club. I enjoy my Masonic Lodge activities again here in WS! Sharon and I enjoy travel and the arts! We have gotten back to the Symphony and even playing poker regularly with our group of friends and neighbors. I hardly recognize the East Forsyth campus. It has grown significantly since our days there! I have grown older and "wider" too as the years have gone by!
