Mr. Jesse Lee Morton, 23, of Kernersville, died Friday, August 31, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 3, at Sharpe Road Baptist Church in Greensboro. The Rev. Pete Parks and Elder Ervin Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mr. Morton was born April 13, 1984, in Guilford County, N.C., to John Leslie Morton of Colfax and Maria Nevarez Bledsoe of Meriden, Connecticut. A 2002 graduate of East Forsyth High School, he was an electrician, a member of a bowling league and also a Dart throwing team.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-mother, Allison Morton of Colfax; sisters, Leeanna Bledsoe of Meriden, Conn., Allyson Morton of Kernersville; brothers, James Breazeale of Kernersville, Chris Lewis of Winston-Salem, Michael Bledsoe and Nicholas Cordona both of Meriden, Conn.; maternal grandparents, Sam and Mary Cordona of Meriden, Conn.; former step-mother, Karen Botsford of Kernersville; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins along with a multitude of friends.
