Even though I graduated in 1979, most of my friends were in the Classes of 1980 and 1981. My grades were such that I almost became a member of the Class of 1980.

Some memories include:

Sledding on the hill in front of Robin Hurdt's house with the neighborhood kids.

Going to the Midnight Movies at Southpark Mall in Charlotte.

Working at Harris Teeter with Ann Grant, Nina Blanton, Carla Bridges, Judy Whisnant, and a lot of other great people.

Entertaining my friends at school and on the bus with corny jokes and imitations.

I didn't date or socialize much (too busy working and chasing my dreams), but I had some fun times with a lot of really good people.

I wanted to go to the Class of 1980's reunion, just to say hi, but a slew of medical appointments for an upcoming surgery made a trip to KM impractical at the time. After my procedure (sometime in 2011, it looks like), I hope to see a lot of you when the family and I come down.
