School Story:
Alpha was a wonderous place to grow up..the Boy crazy days, the insistence on making young ladies out of us, the focus on becoming the best you can be..the social conscience....the getting into trouble, the lyming under the Monkey Tamarind Tree, hanging out in the Art room with Mrs Kirlew...being a teachers pet and a brat at the same time ..having Denise Francis (the 4th form English Teacher) "stone" me with my essay in disgust! lol
I still have many of the same old friends from first form, and even if I dont see them all the time i still consider them my best friends: Stacey Mitchell, Niki Madden, Andrea Atkinson, Meris Haughton, Dawn Woo, Cecille Gordon, Maxine Gossel, Lisa Thompson ( a 6th form deportee from Immaculate) Donna Brown..all of the above were there to share my special moments with me: Wedding Day, Birth of Children.
I can proudly say that we are all successful women in our own right..and part of that success must be attributed to the values infused at Alpha
I do miss Nadine Lee who was my absolute BF,,I thought that one would have been forever..but such is life. Oh boy, did we get in trouble together. Nadine, Charmaine McClure and Sandy: Three Muskateers!
All in all, it was some of the best years of my life..I just didnt know it then! lol
