Lisa Miller (Hager) (1988)

I just sent an email to everyone about getting pictures to me. Unless you want me to use all of my pictures that I have in my photo album from St. Nick days, I suggest I start seeing my mail box full! Oh and the music on the video will be Air Supply, their greatest hits!

I know that Carol Baker is still alive. You will have to ask Chad about delivering papers to her house early in the morning.

I remember Chad and Michael taking Michael's Blazer to buy kegs and all of us sitting on milk crates in the back.

Working at Denny's and cooking breakfast Sunday morning because we were all hung over from Saturday night.

I remember when we decided to buy an old house and turn it into a fraternity even though we didn't go to school there and we had a rockin' party with a live band that totally rocked and Brad Putter streaked through the quad and his wife Patty and I were driving along and saw him streaking and he had to get into the car with us (only he was wearing a speedo).......oh sorry, I had a senior moment, that was actually a movie I watched last week..........I hate getting old...........

Lisa-I've got some stuff I'll try to get to you for the video. I didn't find many photos, but I did find a program from the graduation ceremony, programs from the plays Lil Abner and the Music Man, and a whole host of football rosters if you want that stuff. I also found a booklet titled "Classnight memories April 30, 1988, 7:30 pm" Says it was prepared by David Smith and Carol Streit. Looks like it is a transcript of all the skits our class did that night. Pretty funny reading through it. The only thing I can remember from that night was doing an impression of Davis and saying "Quiet people, I want quiet!"

Somebody toss a beer can on mainstreet for me at the reunion (just don't get caught!)

Is the EZ Stop still there?

Laura, I swear I only had one small glass of home made grape wine tonight. I think it is just to late to think lol

Scott Bean (1988)

Oh Yeah, someone was talking about football earlier, I found a sheet that had statistics for our team, looks like maybe from 88. For the year we had 25 points, our opponents...157. Ouch.

Anyone want to know their stats for that year let me know, but it ain't pretty.

Laura Kersting (Cure) (1987)

seriously, I don't even think I have my wedding video and you guys have all of this. However I do have a shit load of volleyball tapes when I was coaching. Actually did go to state one year. LOL!!

10/02/08 11:31 PM #174

Lisa Miller (Hager) (1988)

Scott, oh yes please send them to me. I remember the transcript, something about our parents were supposed to hold on to them and not let us see them until our 20th reunion. I asked my Mom about it years ago and she had not idea where it went. I'm so glad you found yours. If you don't mind I can either display it at the reunion or copy it to save it from distruction! Aaron is on the lookout for the video tape that his dad made of our class night.

I was just thinking today about the programs from the musicals. I can't believe I can't find any of my stuff. I think I lost everything in College when I moved so much. It's all probably in the bottom of someone's basement and they keep it not remembering who it was they lived with so many years ago haha!

Speaking of class night...remember that Rob and Heath had a skit as news anchors and during rehearsal they put in a little part about the Freshman bringing the gun to school??? (I don't think it made it to class night, I think the teachers put a stop to that.) Wow and look at all of the kids today taking guns to school. We didn't think much of it back then, now we freak out if they draw pictures of guns!

My husband found some things in his boxes from the 80's including his swatch!!! He keeps everything!

Scott,
I'm with you on the EZ stop but, more importantly, can you still cook a chuckwagon or a burrito there and eat while playing "vintage" video games. Great pre-game rituals!
I appreciate the stats from the '88 season (would have loved to been part of that team) but what I'd really like are the stats from all the innumerable backyard games of fb we played at your house and Ramsay's. I'm guessing my winning percentage to be at least .750 and Short's to be something like .125. I'm basing that on all my memories of Greg crying about the calls.

Brad,
You're supposed to be educating our youth and you spend your time reminiscing about you and Rob's freakin' lame prom trips???? you must be a PE teacher.

Scott Gleason (1987)

Ouch! Jay thats cold but I was thinking the same thing. How come Brad has all the time to play on his computer during the day. That was probably his only date in high school.

Linette Schaller (Miller) (1989)

Here is the burning question that has been on my mind since high school. How the hell did Mr. Flax get a degree in English? I remember him saying, "all of yous need to get this paper in, blah, blah, blah." Hell, I practically flunked his speech class......I was scarred until college when I took a real speech class and they taped me and made me watch it.....what, people don't really talk like that? How I ever entered a career where I do public speaking practically every day I will never know.

I remember a funny story about the Dead Baby House. I don't remember who all was there but I think me, Jeannie, Amy, Brad Putter, and Darren Wire for sure, but maybe more. Well, the guys thought it would be funny to run in there and hide then jump out and scare us. However, they weren't anticipating disturbing the comfortable sleep of a skunk. Needless to say, they came out a little stinky and we made them ride on the hood of my old green station wagon all the way back to town, you know the one with the paneling on the sides...the family truckster. By the way, who invented paneling, good Lord they put that shit on everything back then....I mean who was sitting around one day and thought, hey lets put it on the side of a car?

But that wasn't the first time the truckster, or rather the grocery go getter, as Kristina liked to call it, was used to surf on. Aaron reminded me of numerous surfing excursions. That was a great car, wish I still had it, we could probably fit all the reunion attendees in it. I can't remember how many people we managed to cram in there once but I was thinking it was around 20.

As for the Applings, Laura, I think they split up but I see Connie walking to Youngs every afternoon around 4:00. So I am sure she would be available to hire for stripping.

Ahhhhh, Air Supply. Do you all remember that all it took to hold a junior high party was the Air Supply tape and a boom box. Actually, I think at some of those parties that Air Supply was the only tape played the entire evening.

As for the E-Z Stop, it is still here and you can still get a chuckwagon and all that stuff. They actually cook food in there now too. But I made the tragic mistake of running in there to grab something for lunch yesterday on my way to a meeting in Dodge. I guess I should have picked up some Alka Seltzer with that!!!

I have a bunch of stuff from high school. Actually, I still have my Pink Ladies coat from the Grease musical. Kristina's daughter wore it a few years back for a Halloween costume. I also have all those Coyote pack shirts and stuff. It is all tucked away in a trunk in our extra bedroom. I have all my yearbooks and stuff too but those are up in the attic. Maybe while I am "working from home" today I will have a chance to drag it out.

Yes the Jr. High dance is where I first of Air Supply as well. Tina and Stephanie introduced me to it I think at our 8th grade dance. Speaking of which I found a horrible picture of Gene and I as the King and Queen of the dance completed with balloon crowns on our heads. It was in the basement of St. Nick. Wow what a flash back!

Jeannie Hirsh (Espinosa) (1989)

lol Linette yes I remember going out to the dead baby's house and the guys doing that..lol what was it with riding anywhere with Brad and Darren lol we either wrecked or almost wrecked Brad and that damn curved road between Kinsley and Offerle YIKES!! gave you a ride for your life on that one ..

and as I was going to work this morning that hump in the road after you pass well Mr.Squeaky's then and by Romano's now by Strates lol how many time we punched it at the stop sign and try to hit that thing so we could air born a little..surprised we never hit the pole lol..

and also Linette that wagon Was The Bomb!! I loved that damn thing and trips to the lake and alot of partying in it haha..well and MIsty's blue pickup and black car...hmmm and I think Amy's Mustang lol did alot of partying in people's vehicles lol

Brad Scott (1987)

Wow, that was harsh. I did have a few dates in high school. I went to prom with Brenda Westhoff. I haven't kept up with her, but if it's anything like college, after dating me she became a lesbian.

If Jon Maack ever decleated me, i think i would give up sports forever. I do remember beating Sterling in their homecoming football game and their midwinter basketball game in 86-87. Both overtime games. Scott G nailed the free throws to ice the bball game.

I also remember diving for a loose ball in a home bball game and i fell over a cheerleader from Claflin and I "accidentally" used her chest to get up off the floor.

Track was awesome. The best practices ever. Here was our schedule.

Get out of school at 3.
Hang out til 3:15.
Get a friend to drive us to the park and drop us off.
Sprint past the pool to the fb field so it looked like we ran the whole way.
Lay around on the pole vault pits until we got yelled at for being lazy.
Get sent on a 4 mile run to the airport then south to the river then west to the highway then back to the field.
Get halfway down the road and then cut across the plowed field to the highway.
Beg Mr. Stuart and the golf team to give us a ride back to town in the golf van.
Walk to the field.
Jog to the park and start hitching rides back to the high school.
Home by 5:30.
Go to track meets and get killed, but have them announce "Mike Hunt from Kinsley needs to report to the discus or he will be disqualified."

Laura Kersting (Cure) (1987)

O Please Brad, do you really expect any of us to believe that you accidentally used her chest/breasts to get up off the floor. Right!!!

LMAO!!! I about feel out of the chair on the Mike Hunt comment. Oh the good old days!! I still have no regrets not going out for track!!! Although it sounds like you guys had a blast!!

No Brenda is not a lesbian, but she is unmarried and a gastroentenologist in Denver.......not sure what that indicates about your prom date.

10/03/08 03:10 PM #185

Brad Scott (1987)

It indicates that I am a complete dumbass. But i usually do something once a week to remind myself.

Like the time i jumped off the lunch bus in grade school and hit my head on the top of the door and had to have stitches.

Anyone find anything else hilarious/embarrassing to bring? I actually found a picture of the boys bball team when we got runner up at the st. john tournament. Love the nuthugger shorts. why couldn't michael jordan come along 5 years earlier so we could wear the cool uniforms?

If someone is really brave they will get a mullet haircut for saturday, part it down the middle and then feather back the sides. Wait a minute, some of us don't have any hair left. Bad idea. I am going to wear my Member's Only maroon windbreaker.

10/03/08 03:33 PM #186

Kathy Heacock (1987)

Wow Brad, you actually atempted to run the 4 miles in track?! You should have changed your events to high jump and long jump! This is kinda how my day would go:

Get out of school
Cruise and go to Mr. Squeaky's for a soda
Drive to the track
Hang out at the pole vault mat til I got kicked off
Hang out at the high jump mat til everyone was done running
Whine to Mr. Maack a little
Make a few jumps
Leave track and go cruising again!

I will never forget the time Mr. Maack yelled at me for missing practice everyday of a by week our senior year! He was so mad that I didn't practice then went to a track meet the next week and won high jump because I was the only one at the meet who could clear the starting height!! That must have been one of the Lewis track meets!

Thanks Jeannie for bringing up the old hump. I remember I wrecked my car trying to become airborn. Something about not having good shocks on my car and blowing the tire out by hitting the tree across the street. Which at the time was the size of a pencil and I do believe it is still alive and well to this day. Does anyone remember the blue van Chad and I used to have to drive. It had a refrigerator and all in it and you could get alot of people and alot of beer in there to party.

Does anyone remember Miss Benke (spelling) in fifth grade and how we all thought she was a witch. She still lives in the same house across the street from where I grew up and where Chad and Steph now live. Ask Chad about his dog and her cat. Her house still looks as creepy as it did when I was a kid.
