I wish I had stuck around for my Junior/Senior yrs but things happend and I had to leave Kinston, moved to Mt. Olive where I attended SWHS. Met alot of new friends of whom I'm still in contact with today, but were nothing like my classmates I grew up with. Tonya (Walker) Smiley girl...you just don't know how thrilled I was to see you again!!! You and I got in alot of trouble together, but what touched me the most was you telling me that I was like the sister to you that you never had. Damn girl!!!! I missed you like you wouldn't believe!!!! You are my sister and don't ever forget it. Crystal, Thomas, Rico,Kim N., Scott, Derrick, Shannon, Lavita etc. It was good to see you all!!! I can't remember a whole lot of names but I remember faces. Whether we were part of the so-called "In" crowd or the "Out" crowd, we are all the "Class of 88" crowd.

I called Guy and told him about the 7th grade yr. book pics and he and I were on the phone laughing until our sides starting hurting!!!! Most of us have siblings and understand how devastating losing a family member is. We pray that God will comfort you and give you peace.

06/04/09 07:48 AM #84     James Kittrell I spoke with Joe Headen and his wife yesterday. Joe is doing better and regaining his strength daily. He had a major surgery on this past Thursday at Duke Medical. He is recovering nicely but still in some pain. No sure timeframe on when he will be back home but Joe's family is helping his wife out and keeping one another strong and faithful in HIS plan. Joe and his family request that anyone desiring to get in contact with him, please email me and I will get the appropriate contact nr from Joe. When he is more able to contact you, he will return your phone calls. They thank all well wishers and appreciate all of us keeping Joe and his family in our prayers!

06/16/09 01:59 PM #86     Joseph Headen Hello Class of 1988!! I just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers when I was going through my medical problems. Never thought I would ever get out of the hospital but I'm doing alot better now that I have been discharged. I'm regaining my strength every day and I know with God on my side it will only be a matter of time before I'm back to 100%. Again....thank you..thank you..thank you for all of your prayers. I missed the 20th year reunion but I'll be there for the 25th!!

Keep Trey martin in your prayers as he is having some health issues.
