Kathy Smith Brown

Graduated from East Carolina University with a BS in English Education in 1993, taught 10th grade English at Kinston High School with Mrs. Hearne, Mrs. Winfree, and Mr. Perry! (what an experience!)Got married and moved to Tarboro in 1994. I now have 3 children and reside in Roanoke Rapids, NC where I teach 7th grade. I still enjoy singing and dancing. I am in a singing quartet called One Voice. We are a contemporary Christian group and perform at different functions around Roanoke Rapids. My kids keep me very busy---never a dull moment! I have picked up golf and am quickly becoming an addict! Life is great!

I have so many wonderful memories from KHS---dancing and singing in Ovation, NY trip, Grad nite trip, etc.,The McBoom with the McZoo Crew, and graduation rehearsal where I was talking (no surprise there!) and Mr. Peedin said in front of everyone, "Kathy Smith, shut up and pay attention!" Boy, was my face RED!I also remember being in Madame Allison's French class with Mitchell Howard and Richard Dean! The poor woman didn't stand a chance! One day she was coughing, and the piece of candy in her mouth came flying out across the room! We all cracked up at that one! Many, many more......
