Since graduation from KHS - 1979, I've engaged in a number of ventures. I completed an Associate Degree in Pre-Social Work at Lenoir Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from East Carolina University. I worked a number of years with Lenoir County as a jailor and E-911 Telecommunicator. With the state of NC, my career included employment as an Intensive Monitoring Counselor (Surveillance Officer) and in excess of 16 years as a Juvenile Court Counselor (child Probation Officer). In total, I retired from the local and state government system with a span of 30 years of service.
About 11 (eleven) years prior to that government retirement, I was ordained as a Christian Minister under the authority of Overseer/Pastor Addie Prince (Bread of Life Gospel Tabernacle, Inc., Grifton, NC) and Pastor Elder Barbara Gardner Farrow (Bread of Life Gospel Tabernacle, II, Inc., Kinston, NC). Thereafter in my continued work of the Lord, I sought to increase my work in the Christian faith by engaging in deeper studies. I was ordained as an Elder of the Christian faith through the Kinston Theological Seminary school in January 2018 under Apostal James P. Chapman, Sr., D. Min.
Throughout my ministry I've provided an array of preaching, teaching along with appointment as Sunday School Superintendent, and spiritual counseling to individuals, couples, and groups. The work additionally called for the directing of Friday night evangelist services bi-monthly. Within that range of time, I was part of a state of NC after hours group called the Rings of Fellowship that went into yourh confinement facilities to teach Christian based bible study to mainly males that volunteered to participate in the program. The Hope Through Spiritual Solutions women's biblical counseling group was developed by me and operated for more than 9 (nine) years within the church at Perfecting Ministries of God church in Kinston, NC (Pastor Carrie Barnes Dudley). The group was also opened to the public to guide and assist participants with resolutions for life issues from a Christian biblical perspective. That ministry also provided some individualized counseling. During this part of my ministry, I became a part of Bridges for Peace, a Christian based outreach to mainly overseas Jewish communities in need of life assistance and Christian faith development. In that group, I became a local Chi Leader, holding meetings to teach Christian believers about Jewish customs and how God has utilized them through the years as presented by scripture teachings along with providing financial assistance.
Over the course of my ministry, there has been a variety of other works. They have included street evangelism and prayer walks for the city, bible studies in small group dynamics and telephonically, arranging donation outreach to the local homeless shelter. Additionally it has utilized an encouragement card writing and contact work for the memory unit of assisted living facilities. The ministry also utilizes various social media platforms to encourage a Christian perspective in handling the challenges of daily living and how to live a Christ centered life.
Prior to a very debilitating diagnosis of arthritis and other major health issues, along with a conglomerate of extreme surgical procedures, much time was spent in house and street ministry outreach.
Overall, the formation and growth of the ministry developed into Be Ready Ministries which incorporates most portions of the aforementioned work. On the Google Business website, it is identified as Be Ready Now Ministries.

You Are Not Alone Telecast, In Touch Ministries, Jewish Jesus, and the Good Doctor are television shows I mainly watch. Others include Touched by An Angel and Highway to Heaven along with Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
I would have likely interact with classmates more, and have built better socialization skills.
I love studying the Holy Bible and counseling/assisting other people to resolve their issues from a biblical perspective. Praying for people at large and individually is very dear to me.
