Janis, many fond memories! When I was about 24 I first spotted you on a newscast and followed it faithfully. TV was where I learned of your passing. We were friends from way back in elementary school at Paradise Cyn. Clear memories of wonderful Halloween parties at your home and of your fun and close family. I spent a very memorable time at least once at your family cabin in Yosemite. We explored all the famous sites and hiked our feet off! We swam in water with snakes where you taught me not to fear them.We played "matches" which, as I recall, was poker with match sticks. We watched a bear from the window of the cabin. These are things I will always remember and cherish. I hope we meet again in heaven and can again laugh and play together as we did as kids.
