Randy Boal was my Gladiator Jr. Midget Coach, and I continued with him for my final two years (9th/10th) of football.  I was happy and surprised to see him at a few of our reunions, realizing how much our class meant to him and vice versa, since he started with us at LCHS in 1972 and remained a Spartan through retirement.  Football memories are very different for me now that both Coach Boal and our wonderful QB and still school record holding long jumper Dave Tierney (also my college roommate/track teammate) have moved onto the greater field.

I'll miss Dave, my freshman year college roommate at Occidental and track teammate. He was a great guy!

Hi Bildilek! So glad you checked in here! I remember how great it was that you were at LCHS. One of my memories was how we walked down the hall hand in hand at LCHS. It seemed like it was an OK in Turkey thing...but a questioned "thing" for two high school students to walk hand in hand in La Canada. I look back at it with great affection...and to me, it has always defined cultural exchange.
I hope "memorable" is a positive descriptor, and that your stay in LC was a positive one.
