Bruce Brown

Kathie,
I will do what ever I can to help get this off the ground.
I have asked my sister, Kim about Deb Foss as I think she has been in contact with her. (Kim was 4 years behind us and lives in Paso Robles after spending many years in Seattle.)

Hi Kathie, Hi Bruce:

I'll be glad to help in whatever way I can. I don't actually know where our classmates (except for you two) are anymore.

I live on the Central Coast of California, so I can at least call or email people. I'd be happy to be involved.

Thanks, Kathie, for putting up the site. It's really great.

See you soon,

Deb

I have lost contact with a lot of people over the years, like most of us have. I have contact information for only two people; my sister Colleen (of course) who lives out in the inland empire, and Mark Weinberg (who lives up in the SF bay area). Will contact both of them.

Regards, Arden

Kathie Brodie

I'm totally slow. I never checked the Message Forum before today ...

Robin, it would be great if you or your sister could get teacher contact info (and of course any classmates). I know Rose sees Grace Galton every so often so maybe she will contact her. Be good to have a contact at the high school. I called to see if they have a way to refer people calling about possible reunions but they don't. And the high school website/alumni section doesn't seem to be well used. I posted info there but haven't seen any responses (it's a bit convoluted).

Anyway, great to hear from people! kathie

Nancy Holst Halvorsen has moved back to Australia with her husband Harvey.
I will try to get in touch with them by email if I can.

Colleen Acord (Kintner)

Kathie and all,
Colleen (Acord) Kintner here from Redlands, CA. I think the last weekend in October would be good. Can allow for planning and follow up to have, hopefully, the majority of us come to the reunion. Somewhere in the Glendale/La Canada/Pasadena area sounds good. Thanks for starting to get this organized. Best to all, Colleen

We are all willing to help out. It's been fun reading about all the classmates profiles.

Well I thought everyone had dropped off the face of the planet untill this last year. I have moved around a lot do to military and such but have been in Missouri for the last 24 years. My Mom lives in the high desert and so does my sister but I haven't been in CA for a long time. Presently have one child still at home (college student) and 2 grand children. I raise horses and enjoy life as best I can. Glad to here about the reunion. Wife and I are planning on attending if it is in Oct.

I have been so busy lately...so just discovering this message forum tonight! It is so fun seeing new additions every day so the word IS getting out there. Kathie and I will be together for 9 days starting this Thursday so we can put our heads together and come up with more ideas for the reunion weekend and for sure the planning committe meeting which is coming soon. I will miss not being able to be there with you guys, Lynn, Kendel, Candy...I know the class of '68 had a blast during the planning stages and became a tight group that now spends more time together. Have fun and looking forward to seeing everyone.

I spoke with Ron Hock - he is aware of the reunion. I encouraged him to sign on to the web site and register and show up.
We talked for 20 minutes or so about La Canada - we both went to Palm Crest and hung around a bit.

Well a big Hello to all my classmates. A Special thank you to Kathie for setting up this forum. Today is Sat. Aug 15th and I started this morning by joining Facebook after much pushing by several of my friends. After getting on, my first contact was with Sue Baker. I don't know why she was up at 7:30 on a Sat morning, but we were able to make phone contact and talked for about an hour. What a trip to hear from a friend that I spent so much time with in our younger years. It has been over 20-25 yrs since we were together.
She told me about the reunion which is in the planning and thus I am now here catching up.
I see in the "In Memorium" we have lost a few along the way. May they all rest in peace and comfort.
I really am looking forward to getting together with each and everyone who attends the reunion. I remember the last one I was at, the time went so fast it was hard to see and talk with everyone. Many, many good times were had a Spartanville and remembering them all is really getting fuzzier and fuzzier.

I'd love to hear from anyone on this site.

Thanks again Kathie,
Ken McMurray

Celeste Giraldi (Brothers)

Hello to everyone from Celeste (Giraldi) Brothers up here in Madera, California! I would like to personally thank EVERY person who is involved in the planning of our 40th reunion - you are all doing a fabulous job!

Does anyone live here in "central" California besides Rich Bergquist? If so, I'd love to hear from you.

There are 2 classmates that I lost contact with in the 80's that I really wish I could find - if anyone knows the whereabouts of Juliana Olsen or Patty Munson, I would very much appreciate it if you could pass along info to me. Thanks!

Take care everyone, God Bless, and see you in October!

Mark Weinberg:
I lived in Oregon for 20 years. So what? Your sister was my dentist.

This forum is bringing everyone out of the woodwork! Celeste, Patty Munson has a profile now. She is in San Diego and doing well. I just got an email from her as I am also in San Diego. It is great hearing about all our classmates! This forum was truly a good idea. Bruce, I would love to know were Ron is. Our parents were also good friends. If you are trying to track Nancy Holst down it is not easy. She lives in Australia half the year and here the other half. She also travels a little in between. I will try to get in touch and tell her about the reunion, although I am sure she already knows. I hope to go but do not know yet. It would definitely be a blast to see everybody.

Patti Sullivan

Hi, everyone. I've been on this site a few times, but just realized this was for more messages than info on the reunion! I guess it takes me a while these days.

I live up in the Seattle area but still have family in SoCA. I was just down in LC actually and do plan to go back in October for the reunion. Looking forward to seeing everyone then.

Dru - thanks for the info. about Patty. I, too, got an e-mail from her and we have been in contact ever since. This whole website is really a trip! God bless, Celeste

Tom Preston

Tom Preston and Rob Nye are coming to the reunion. Still crazy after all these years... and we want to gather a bunch of people who were hanging around Dan's Barn (Danny Gaston's house and old shed in the back in Flintridge)around 1966-7.... and here were many. The only historical counter culture scene in the History of La Canada since the Rancheros left.

Bob Dylan sang about, we lived it! Who was there?

Oh my gosh, can't believe it's been 40 years!! Where did the time go? I am desperately searching for my dear lost friend, Chris Belcher Arnds-Bradley. We seemed to have lost contact (over 10 yrs. ago) during the years of raising our children and our own life challenges. Would love to come to the reunion but I'm a little apprehensive to come alone. God bless my husband of 38 years, but there's a limit of what he'll do. Let's face it reunions are not fun for spouses!
Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to contact us and plan this memorable event. This has been such such a fun site to visit. It's scary to think the next time we do this we'll all be pushing 70 years old. OMG!! I think we all need to try to come together for this 40th reunion, life is short and the years pass so quickly. How blessed we are to still be alive and healthy. Hope to keep in touch.~Colleen
PS Yes, life is normal here in Las Vegas, NV. I happen to teach in the 9th largest school district in the nation, and in my school we even have the only Biosphere in the US. Not only that, I'm proud to say I STILL love my job and feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work with children each day!! they truly keep me young and on my toes!!

Janet Sheedy (Stanger)

Hi All:

Finally got my behind in gear and signed up to attend the reunion. It should be a lot of fun and am looking forward to it. Note for Tom Preston: I have met your sister Barbara here in Las Vegas (yes I had braces a few years ago after taking care of the kids first). I thought you lived out of the country!

It sounds like I missed the 30 year reunion and only found out about this one due to reconnecting with Patti Sullivan earlier this year.

See you all soon!

hi - sorry that i will miss the reunion - just can't get out to the west coast that weekend! so instead, you should all just consider that you have an open invitation to visit when you are on the east coast!!!

Also, i thank all of the organizers for setting up this whole site. i have reconnected with many, had many messages and sparked fond memories!

I'm considering attending, and I wonder if anyone in Northern California would consider carpooling (giving me a ride I guess is what it amounts to); I could pay gas. I'm working down through my list of options.
