Message Forum

Welcome to the Aquinas High School Message Forum.

The website is back up.  Our 40th (can't believe that) is coming up.  Please offer any suggestions that you have regarding the next reunion. If there are any negative comments from anyone, then I assume you want to actively help plan the next reunion.

Thank you for any suggestions that you have.  For example, which weekend, how many days, any price range, a band etc.  It is hard to please everyone, but we strive to do our best.

Hi Joan, Great job on the website. I'm working on getting Lenore to the reunion but she has a trip planned sometime around then. I'm trying to track down Peggy, too. See you in July. Kathy

Joan,
This is a great way to stay in touch! I am doubtful for the reunion but things could change. I have heard from more people this week, due to this forum, than any time in 35 years. Thanks for putting it together.

Hi everyone, spread the word so we can have a big turn out. We can all compare AARP cards and creaky joints.

Mike Ludden! Make a plane reservation!

Gosh - it says I could add a youtube clip. Yah right like I could. This message goes to all. Once again Pat Bonadurer will set up some tee times for golf at Forest Hills Golf Course - the old country club at the corner of La Crosse St and Losey Blvd. I was planning for a 9:00 to 9:30 start so the good golfers could get in 18 holes. I am good for 9 holes, I golf once every five year and that is just to provide some laughs for those who travel back for the reunions. After 9 holes I think Bluffside Tavern (should bring back some fond memories) could be a spot for some socialization. It is air conditioned and has some refreshments.

Let me know if you are interested in golf and I will get the tee times. And I agree. Ludden get a plane ticket and golf with me. I am finally ready to take your advice.

When is everyone, especially the out of towners, going to Coney Island for a fix?

I see the forum is . . . slowly . . . picking up steam. Pat, if Luds doesn't make it, Haugs will be giving golf lessons (at the Bluffside); Chuck Abeyta will be hosting a wrestling clinic (after the Alpine).

It looks like Betsy and I are the only old, not really OLD, cheerleaders coming to the reunion. We'll cheer on all the golfers and wrestlers. Or maybe just lift some cheer-in-a-glass to all the golfers and wrestlers.

Pat, you have always been so mean and nasty but I will try to be brave and talk to you at Alpine.

Any last word from Ludden or other AWOL classmates?

Ludden here! The reunion gods were not in alignement this year. My mother in law unexpectedly moved in last night. I know what you are thinking.......great time to get away. Well, she is in poor health and so we are now her caregiver for a while (how long.. don't know). However, I will be thinking about you having a beer on the deck at Alpine tonight.

Yes, Bonny it might be cool but that is better than here. Its going to be 105 tomorrow.

I was really looking forward to the golf thing. It has been a very long time since I played. But maybe I could be like Tom Watson and "turn back the clock" and then .... maybe not. Please send pictures and call my cell at 2 am.
Luds

I am so sad that I missed the golfing and bowling. Pat - I promise next time I will golf even though in 5 more years I may need a young handsome caddy to help me out...are you available? hee hee
Anyway - I had a blast Friday night. Jerry Smith is one funny dude - good luck with the birds and bees talk with your son Jerry.
Betsy is still as cute as ever and everyone looked great - we age well I must say!
Take care all -
Thanks Joan and Ahna for all your work - call me next time if you need some help - I am always ready to roll up my sleeves and pitch in however I can.
Fred - congrats on your upcoming retirement - hope you catch the big one!!

Sounds like the reunion was a success. Thanks to Joan and anyone else for their hard work. Wish I could have attended the festivities. It wasn't in the cards. Guess I will have to wait another 5 years! Sad to see how many have passed over the years.

Joan, I would have come had I known about it. I ran into Tom Franke in La Crosse a couple weeks ago and he let me know about this site. I have only attended the 10 year and the picnic on the 20 year so I would like to come to the 40th if possible. Now that I have registered on this I hope to receive the notice of the next one. Thanks for all your doing to keep folks in touch.

Chucka Here,

Hey everyone. It sure would be awesome to see photos of the reunion. If they are posted on here, Cool. If you'd care to share via my e-mail, Please do. Home4uall@aol.com

I am looking forward to making the 40th. Maybe We can talk about our Bucket Lists. };o)>

Chucka, you had a good idea. How about if we start sharing some bucket list ideas here on the website. Besides that broad "I want to see the world" business, I want to learn to tap dance.

Kathy,  Did you get this going again?  I got your email.  Was trying to Facebook, but I don't know how to do that stuff.  I was gone for nine mos of 2009 working in Philly.  It was great that the Pack beat the Eagles last night.  Hope you are well!  Mike

Hi Mike, I wish I could take credit for getting it up and running.  I'm guessing it was Joan or some of the other regulars.

The reunion is coming up, be there or be square!!!

As of today, I plan to attend. Can't believe I'm running the old man's shop. That would be the only reason I don't make it. As for suggestions, I'm pretty easy. If I could request/ask anything, it would be casual dress in/at a mid to upscale dining environment. I sure hope I get there. I hope you are all well. Chucka

Hi Joan

Is it possible that we can get a Tour of the Bluffside Tavern and the Popcorn Tavern? Thank you for all of your hard work!-   Jerry Smith

It's several months after our 40th reunion but in case anyone is reading this in the middle of winter, it was a great time!  Thanks to Joan, Ahna and everyone else who worked so hard.  It was a total blast to turn into a bunch of 17 year old kids again.
