Started working at TVA in the IT department in 1993. I stayed in the computer field for 9 years eventually becoming the network administrator at US Xpress. It was there that I met my wife, Sarah. She was absolutely my dream girl. Being the smart lady she is, she could tell I was crazy about her and she wouldn't have anything to do with me. So, I used my IT skills to regularly sabotage her network connection just so I could spend time at her desk. Somehow, it worked and I eventually won her over. We were married in 1999, and my world has gotten better ever since.
In 2000 I left the computer industry full-time (I still worked after hours a good bit on contract with US Xpress for a while) to open a music store in Ft. Oglethorpe. I had been day trading stocks for a couple years and saved up enough to pursue my dream of having my own music store. With an accountant as a wife, we lived on her income while I took the plunge into self-employment. It's been 12 years and we're still there.
Presently, I have been working on a childhood dream of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail. So far, I have just under 900 miles of it completed. I plan to finish all 2200 miles of it by the end of year 2014 if all goes well.
