 Greetings Everyone!

I was talking with Rick Smith and we agreed that each member of our class should be able to give input on how and when our reunion should occur.  We need ideas and opinions.  Well, at least in my opinion.

I think we should keep it simple and inexpensive.  The economy has effected everyone but we should still be able to throw one kickin', excellent party.  Obviously, I haven't been to LaGrange since I left in '81 and know virtually nothing about the area and honestly not much about most of you.  So I give my proxy to Rick and Kelly and T.  Unless of course I don't like what they come up with and then I'll just find 3 more friends who will do exactly what I want.  Psych!! Kidding of course.

All I can tell you is that I am really looking forward to this reunion and want it to be a terrific experience for everyone.  To do that I think we all need to communicate.  As adults we know we can't please everyone but I bet that if we all think and work together we can make it a wonderfully, memorable experience for all.

So, there is my unsolicited opinion.

Seems like most everyone hung at the old Kroger parking lot or at Earl Cook Beach back when we were in High School. I say let's have a picnic at Earl Cook and then crash the parking lot there on Commerce Av.

OK, seriously, I'll be coming from out of town with my wife and three babies so anything family friendly would be good....unless ya'll tell me the after-party will be fun. I could always leave the babies in Birmingham with Nonna.

How many people are we expecting?

Don't know how many folks yet but bring Nanna & she can keep the babies in the evening & we can party too!

that all depends. I belive folks are looking at it fairly often. Did you want to post what you all talked about last Saturday? I think it would be a great idea if you want to type it up & we'll do it.

I was mainly trying to start a little dialogue.

We kicked around some ideas like having it in the fall and taking in a football game with a little tailgating on friday night. Then the reunion on Sat. I spoke with the country club and Lafayette Garden Inn and have their quotes. Left a message with The Overlook. Next meeting 2/12 at 1:00 los nopales.

Hey guys, I'm way out here in Birmingham. I won't make it back for any of the meetings but one thing I would like to do is to walk the halls of the REAL Troup High School. Do ya'll think we could do that during the reunion weekend?

They charge to get in Earl Cook now and since I broke my neck there it's not one of my favorite spots, although I have been there since then. As far as I know Pine Road is still free. However, if everyone wants to go to EC I can too. It's only about two miles from my house.
