A belated Happy Birthday--I had a lot of fun getting to know you more at the 50th!

Oct 21, 2016 at 8:52 AM

Sorry that I am so late to reply to you. I was out in Temecula for the last three weeks, but without internet, since it is only a secondary home for now. Am still extremely busy packing up stuff from our Oconomowoc Lake, WI home and driving our little 5x10' trailer back and forth between Wisconsin and California. Our latest trip to CA was for our October birthdays and we spent 4 days sightseeing places like the So Cal beaches, Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park. My brother David from Lake Forest even took a 2 day train trip out there to join us.
I really enjoyed chatting with you on several occasions during the reunion. You are a great conversationalist. When I see clouds in Wisconsin and even in SoCal, I think about your comments.

Happy Birthday Shelley! It was so much fun to catch-up at the reunion. I'm excited to hear about Temecula--how's it going. Things are quiet in northern CA, and the weather has settled down nicely.

Susie~

Happy Birthday!

I was remembering back to second or third grade, when your Dad brought in enough shoe boxes for everyone to make a valentines box in which to deposit valentines from all of the classmates. What a wonderful and rarefied existence we enjoyed through all those years. Lots of memories around this period of time of the 50th LFHS Reunion!

Again, Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday. A special thanks for the fun "send-off" breakfast Sunday morning and great conversation. Who says one can't make "new" friends at the reunion gatherings?

A special thanks to those of you "holding down the fort" locally for those of us coming from varying distances to enjoy all the activities you thoughtfully assembled for all to enjoy!

You and Karen had so much all around talent. I'm glad you kept up with violin (?)
Did Karen continue her violin through the years, as well?

You were the best doggone "four-square" player! Hope to see you at the 50th!

Remember the great basketball shots we took of you dunking the ball! Have you kept up with your artwork? Pinstriping any vehicles or farm equipment?

Was in Ms. Day's english class with you, Lelia and Stark, et al. Briefly did a stint in Athens, Ohio and really enjoyed the airport and aviation there--I can well understand why you caught the "bug," it's a really wonderful airport. The research in advanced avionics research was probably right up your alley! Great university town and natural geography. Mental health took me to Appalachian Behavioral Health Services.I learned to fly in Kansas with incredible cross winds in Great Bend, at an old B-29 airport--wonderful infrastructure--also friendly.

Do you remember seeing me in the elevator returning from a Sunday concert at Orchestra Hall--Allied Arts Piano Series? I was at Chicago Musical College at the time, but didn't realize you were majoring in music.

Before I was added to the guest list, I had found your wonderful blues videos, complete with a great dry wit online. GREAT harmonica playing. I especially remember your "wood shedding" barbershop quartet singing on stage in high school! I think music was probably more fun than physics.

Are you still playing the violin? I hope so!
