Frank was a neighbor down the street on Oakwood Avenue.  We also both attended the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit on Wesminster Avenue.  Maybe we got to be friends because we were born on the same day...can't remember when we discovered that fact.

I do remember, however, how Frank got me to sign up as an acolyte (A.K.A. "alter boy") at the church.  I got a phone call one day (maybe 11 or 12 years old) and heard Frank ask if I wanted to "ride a camel down the isle of the church."  Heck yes, I said.  So we went down to Church of the Holy Spirit and we talked with the minister.  Turns out Frank was asking if I wanted to carry a candle down the isle in the processional.  That's part of an alter boy's job, it turned out.

Anyway, ride a camel or carry a candle...I signed up for the gig and, while I have yet to ride a camel, I had a great time for a number of years... acolyting on Sunday mornings and for a weekday morning service before school.

I'm sorry to hear about Frank's death.  Am wondering if anyone has information about Frank's life after LFHS.

Let's raise a glass at the reunion to all our classmates who have passed over to the other side...

Great Idea to raise our glasses and remember our classmates.
