Eric Swannie

I got my undergrad and graduate degrees from UCF. I worked as a student athletic trainer there, mostly for football. My graduate degree is in Exercise Physiology. I'm also a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.

I've worked in professional football (Thunder/Predators) and baseball (Braves, Astros) as an athletic trainer.

Now, I'm home. I work at LMHS. In addition to my athletic trainer duties I'm also an assistant baseball coach at the school. I help coach my son and youngest daughters baseball/softball teams.

My best memories are working with Mr. Mosure and Miessau during football season. We were student trainers and still work with Mosure...the old man is still there and we won't let him retire.

I remember the time we had to stop playing "jungle ball," in Mosure's class because somebody broke their jaw. We played the same game the next time, but we just called it something different, "speed ball" I think. It was a cross between football, soccer and rugby.

Oh yeah, and when the county office said we had to start doing a cardiovascular exercise once per week, Mosure got us in with the Marionettes on Fridays so we could do aerobics with them. As much as I hate doing cardio, the view was pretty good.
