The late Bob Wonson he met the late Pat Scanlon and I for two years 1 hour before school to work on basketball. He volunteered his time. He was encouraging to us but made us work hard. Coach Don Phelps who tried to cut me but decided since I didn’t know what CYO was he took a chance. Funniest was when a Euclid player bit one our players and Pat when in and evened the score and we got yelled at for fighting but the athletic director came in and praised the incident for defending our School spirit. So many other great teachers we were blessed.
