Angela Arie (Conrad)
Dude, just so you know Mr. G doesn't seem as tall now that I am grown up. Get this--my mom was umpiring a softball game (surprise, surprise) and she either ejected Mr. G or threatened to eject him from a game. If I remember correctly, Mr. G and this other guy where about to come to blows, and my short mama jumped in between the two of them, and looked up at one and then the other and said, "You sir are out of this game, and you sir are out of this game." My dad told her don't you ever jump between 2 guys about to go at it. She said she wasn't scared. I didn't know if that had to do with the fact that she knew Mr. G or not. MRS. MYERS ALL TIME BEST TEACHER HANDS DOWN!!!! I agree with Julie about the Cow Patty song. . .Yippee, Yia, Yeah Cow Patty. I remember how fun she made everything. It didn't feel like learning it was going to a party everyday. Oh the many marks I got, in every grade, for--talks too much--what a shocker!! Mrs. Myers, Mr. Galbreath, Mrs. Edwards(kindergarten Pleasant Run--anyone else remember her? She was great), Mrs. McElroy, Mrs. Russell those are the ones that stick out the most to me. -Anyone up for a "BOOGER LAP?" Those were killer!! I think about it now and can almost get out of breath. What about field day!?! Snow cones, relay races, obstacle course races, etc. -Does anyone remember when the gym/lunch room was infested with crickets? They would be piled around both doors that exited outside up near where we went into the kitchen. YUUUUUCK!!! I remember my first kiss behind the dumpster at Pleasant Run. I don't remember the grade, but I do remember the person. If you happen to read this and remember the kiss too, send me a personal message about it. We can just keep that memory on the DL. Stephanie--you are such a rebel, but I can't say as I blame you. My son has issues sometimes with #2 and I have told him if you really have to go, don't hold it, you go on to the bathroom and you tell your teacher your mom said for you to go and they can take it up with her. Poor thing holds that too long and gets backed up. Sorry to be so graphic, but all you moms understand. We have to stand up for our kids. They rush those poor babies around so much--can't do anything in a slow fashion. I told the school when my daughter started kindergarten, that rushed lunch time was my biggest complaint. We all did it when we were in school too and I think it helped contribute to why I have 2 BACKSIDES instead of one. I remember making one, and only one, trip to Mr. Delong's office, not to be confused with Mr. Long(the janitor), it was awful. I cried and cried and didn't even get licks. I had helped spread a rumor about someone and I still feel guilty sometimes. I have a big problem with guilt. By the way everyone, how about some more funny pics like that. These stories are GREAT!!! I have several pics of several of us from kindergarten, but I am afraid to put any on here yet, as some might kill me, or better yet put some of mine (not group shots) in here. Yikes!!!! Didn't mean to write our entire school memoirs. Just got going and the momentum took me! Let's hear some more!!!
