Well if we are going to have Strawberry Hill then I think we must get some large Sonic glasses full of that yummy Sonic ice. ;)

Love the Field Party idea. So I was wondering...who was it that hosted the field party in a field off of 35? I think it has a restaurant built on it now. I just remember that night. I have way too much Strawberry Hill.
Looking forward to our reunion and seeing everyone.
lol,
Mandy

Thanks for trying to put my mind at ease Michelle. I just don't want to see folks getting drunk and making themselves look so silly. I do really look forward to seeing everyone and I hope everyone will act responsibly. What exactly is a field party anyway? Does it involve a bonfire? Or just a big field, a lot of people, and lots of things to consume?

Hi everyone! Looking forward to seeing you guys and hope everyone is doing well.
Mandy, was that David Votaw's party? Geez I have a bad memory.
And NO MAD DOG...ick. Unfortunately I can remember those bad memories.
Misty, I do remember being your car and somehow having a milk jug of trashcan punch..lol where did we get that?

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. The field party should be a lot of fun.

Mandy I think it was the pasture by Michael Martinez's house. I was there and it was mostly Kevin Patterson and that crowd. It was right off 35 and full of cedar trees to hide behind. The cops came and busted it up once, I don't know if you were there that night. We didnt drink much Strawberry Hill though.

I remember being at one with lot's of Cedar Trees. My memory is so bad. I don't know if I would have set foot on Michael Martinez's property for fear of getting my ass kicked by on of the class of 88 not so nice girls, at least at that time they were not so nice. ;) Maybe it was David Votaw. I just remember a lot of field parties. Looking forward to one with no fights breaking out between the cowboys. ;) Can't wait to see everyone.

Hey Elizabeth, I do believe that was me with your purse that night. I just remember looking up at the Nancy Reagan "Just Say No" billboard and seeing red and blue lights flashing off it. We jumped in the truck and ran forgetting that you had hidden your purse behind the seat. We drove all up and down from Sonic to Whataburger trying to find you and I can't remember who I gave it to, I just remember that Vicki was with me and we were late getting her home. That was took some wheelin' and dealin' to get out of...didn't ever want to make Doc mad again. Pretty sure it was Michael Martinez's field party that night.

And if Boone's can still be gotten 3 for 5, we were way overpaying for it back then.

Libby (Shelton)--You mentioned in your profile about the guys carrying around those 5lb. Sugar Babies for Home and Family (I think)--well, mine was flour and I still have little Stephen in a box believe it or not. Or at least the last time I got in that box he was there. I don't think I got rid of him. I do remember asking the teacher (can't remember who it was) if we could put tape around the bag so we wouldn't get our clothes covered in flour, and she said we could. I used packing tape on that stupid thing, and I am telling you it could have subbed as a football in one of the football games and it would have stayed together. After the tape, I sewed a white clothe over it to give it skin and that really made it durable, although, I was a good mommy. I remember my granny thinking I was nuts when I asked her to babysit it and then had to pay her in pennies (I think that was the designated amount). Also, your daughter looks SO MUCH LIKE YOU IT IS CREEPY!!!!

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH the beauty that is a field party. Who can resist a good field party. The key to any good party is to invite the neighbors and the police, that way there are no problems. In our case they will both be there. (The police live next door to Michelle) LOL

I am very excited about seeing everyone at the reunion, I feel like I have a normal life for the first time since we graduated. Yeah me!

Hey Mo,
You rock sister. Thanks for all the hard work you are doing to see to it that we all have a great time.

OMG Julie Needham you are sooooo right, I had forgotten you had to drive all over town looking for me. I don't remember how I got that purse back but hey THANKS! I thought it was near Michael's Place. I so remember your pick-up truck too. Angela Arie I can't believe you still have your flour baby, that's crazy. I got rid of that thing as soon as I could. Regarding my daughter you wouldn't believe how many comments I'm getting about how much she looks like me. I guess I don't see it. My family has always said she looked like my husband when she was smaller. I will say she acts just like me. Miss you Jewels!

Ok I'll fess up...I had my egg baby for like 10 years before I threw her away!! I know...how silly right? But I just could not do it! When I finally did though...I tossed that thing in the dumpster of the apartments I was moving out of and RAN!!! lol

Hey Elizabeth...I can't remember for sure, but something tells me it was Ashley Wright (her and my cousin Bryan ended up getting married, so we'll just call it a family favor) I handed your purse over to and told her to find you. Probably after a stop at Sonic for another large cup of ice for the Boone's..lol. Yeah, the good ol' chevy was a lot of fun. I finally got rid of it and upgraded to a quad cab to haul around my niece and nephew. And Angie is right, your daughter is like your mini-me.

Mitzi, I know for some idiotic reason I haven't been able to part with it. My daughter thinks it is neat! I had another friend from LHS that was much older, she kept her egg baby for I don't know how long, and she got rid of hers, or shall I say, cleaned up the mess from the tragic fall from her bookshelf one day. (She had made furniture for hers too, WEIRD!) I didn't go over there then, but she said the smell was UNBELIEVABLE! How could something that small make such a SMELL!!! I would have been scared to keep an egg baby for that reason. My flour baby doesn't stink and it is taped up tighter than anything anyway.

I really don't know what to say but holy crap it's already been 20 years? Well, I know I wasn't the guy who was in the "click" but rather a geek...putting it mildly but it'll be great to see everyone and how we all changed with a little growing up.

And for the beer...Coors Light for me!

One more thing, about the drinking and driving, I think we are all adults and know our limits (well some of us). If someone at the party has a little too much I think one of us we'll surely take care of them and ensure they get where they need to go safely. And if you don't drink, well come anyway! This is the time to see everyone, catch up on what you missed and the gossip, and just be yourself without all the fancy attire....jeans, t-shirt and a dixie cup full of whatever....

Cheers-
Ken

Yeah...what Ken said! LOL

Mitzi---are you referring to the dixie cup full of whatever or the coors light? Either way, it ought to be interesting Friday night!

Hey Kenny...

I don't think there are many of us who are the same people we were in High School. I'm going to be sad to miss the reunion. My dad has been very sick lately and all my time off is spent with them when I am back in Texas. Have a great (safe) time and tell everyone I said hello.

Hey everyone! I have to pass this on. My husband and I and some friends went to see a movie the day after Thanksgiving, and it was the best movie I have seen all year. It was AWESOME to say the least. I highly, highly recommend everyone seeing it. It is called "Fireproof." I was mad, laughed, and cried and it was truly a wonderful movie to see and it really hit close to home. If you are looking for a movie to go see this weekend, go see it with your husband or even your teenagers. Can't say enough good things about it. And if you like that one then get "Facing the Giants" on DVD and watch it. Two really good family movies. Post a response if any of you have seen it too. Angie

Kenny ~ I was pretty much just agreeing with the entire post! lol But especially the drinking to much and taking care of those that do part!

Elizabeth Denison (Henkel)

Ok, Angie, as your best friend I can say this to you; that is just really weird keeping your flour baby all these years. I don't know if I would have given up that kind of information to too many people! haha just jokin with ya!! ;) Anyway, I completely agree about the movies you mentioned. I have seen Facing the Giants and it is an excellent movie with a really great message. I have not seen Fireproof yet but I have seen all the trailers and previews for it and it looks excellent. Gordon and I will be going to see that one real soon! It's nice that there are still some movies out there that you can go to the theater to see (or rent) without having to be embarassed about the content. Both of these movies are for anyone who faces challenges in their life or in their marriage and the best way to face those challenges. I seriously doubt that there is anyone out there that would say they don't have any challenges in thier life or in their marriage that they could use some help with. I believe these movies are at least a good start in the right direction.

Hey I know I am an odd duck and I am OK with that. Like me or don't like me folks, but I march to the beat of my own drum and yes I know, that drum is a little out of rhythm. HEE! HEE! I just got back from shopping and there is another wonderful device on the market called "Clear Play" and it will edit out anything offensive in a movie that you would like to remove. My father-in-law and sister-in-law have it and they say it is great. I plan on getting one but it is about $80-$90 so I am not getting it right away. I do have TV-guardian and it is a wonderful tool too, however, someone told me you can't get them anymore. What a shame!! Hey some of you electronically inclined folks, could invent a new one that is more user friendly for hooking up devices through it, and probably make a fortune. Remember me and this post when the big bucks start rolling in. I've blabbed enough. Later dudes. And yes, I still say dude, too!
