Danbury, NH: Margaret M. Shaw, 62, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024 at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital in Lebanon after a period of declining health. She was born on February 17, 1962 in Newport, NH to the late Roland Moore, Sr. and Virginia (Dicey) Moore.
Margaret grew up in Acworth, NH, attending Acworth Elementary School, Vilas Jr. High School, and graduated from Fall Mountain Regional High School. She worked in the bakery at Cricenti’s Market in New London and continued at Hannaford before suffering two strokes and becoming disabled.
Margaret enjoyed watching soap operas, reading, shopping, and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were her whole world. She and her late husband, Ken, liked yard saling and going for long drives. Margaret liked going out to eat (especially for seafood), volunteering at the food pantry, and making people laugh. Even up until the day she passed, she was cracking jokes. She loved to meet new people.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents; husband, Kenneth Shaw, Sr. in 2023; siblings, Roland Moore, Jr., Michael Moore, Patricia Long, Louise Couture, and Judy Landry; and by stepson, Kenneth Wiggin.
Surviving family members include her children, twin daughters, Hope Stevens of Wilmot and Christine Bickford of Lebanon, and Kenneth Shaw, Jr. of Danbury; stepson, Francis Wiggin of Danbury; grandchildren, Corbin and Carson of Andover, and Sophie of Danbury; and siblings, Marie Shaughnessy, Kevin Moore, Daniel Moore, Kevin Moore, and Thomas Moore, Sr.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday September 22, 2024 from 11 AM to 1PM at Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH.
