In Memory

(June) Virginia Wick (Bullock)

Virginia Wick Bullock

Virginia Rae (Wick) Bullock, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 16, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Wick and Marion (McCue) Wick; brothers Edward Wick and Leonard Wick; and sister Ruth Hamilton. Ginny is survived by her loving husband, John E. Bullock (Grandville); son, Christopher J. Bullock (Leesburg, VA), his wife Kristina and their daughter, Olivia Bullock; daughter, Lisa K. Kosters (Clifton, VA), her husband Mark and their children Brittany (Andrew) Chovanec, Joshua (Renee) Kosters, Mary Kosters, and Benjamin Kosters; one great-grandchild, Riley Kosters; and several nieces and nephews.

Ginny was born in Warren, Pennsylvania, but was raised in Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State where she met her husband, John Bullock, while performing with the State Singers. They were married in 1961 and celebrated their Golden anniversary in 2011 at Meijer Gardens, a place they both loved. Ginny earned her M.A. in Art History at Michigan State and went on to use her knowledge and natural gifts through teaching. She also served as the Art Director at Calvin College, and was very involved with CIVA (Christians In the Visual Arts). She appreciated the arts and passed that love on to her family, modeling how to design a home, a dinner table, or an outfit, with artistry, style and beauty. In her later years she became a knitter and an avid weaver, continuing in the spirit of her family's Finish heritage. Ginny enjoyed Bible Study Fellowship and was an active member of both Christ Church and LaGrave Avenue Church over the years. She was extremely proud of her family and enjoyed watching her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and blossom. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
