Patricia Joan Covert 76, of Barryton, MI passed away on January 4, 2016 at Joanne's Hospice House, Bonita Springs, FL. She was born on January 21, 1939 in Lansing, MI, a child of Lester and Mary Wagner.
Patricia was an active Christian in whatever community she lived in. She went to Bible College at Mount Hope in Lansing, MI. She loved to sing and laugh and found humor in everyday situations. She loved and lived life with all of the energy and enthusiasm she possessed. She loved to travel and visit family as well as being involved with her husband calling on the people of the church and in the community. She was a member of Lighthouse Free Methodist Church and had been active as a singer on the Praise Team. Prior to her retirement in 2004, she spent nearly 25 years working as rural Ingham County Coordinator for Meals on Wheels.
She made friends wherever she went.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Pastor Gary Covert; son, Kevin (April) Stow; granddaughter, MacKenzie; brother, Robert (Connie) Wagner; as well as extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Nathan; infant granddaughter, Alexis Grace; and brother, William (Bill) Wagner.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the Lighthouse Free Methodist Church, 4395 20 Mile Rd, Barryton, MI 49305 with Reverend Thomas Doherty and Reverend Darwin Mowat officiating. The family will receive guests from Noon to 1:45 PM at the church.
