Janet Kay (Olmstead) Lewis

October 19, 1939 - January 20, 2022

Janet Kay Lewis, age 82, of Lansing, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born October 19, 1939 in Lansing. Janet graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in June 1957 and was a secretary for the US Geological Survey until the birth of her first daughter in 1962. She was a member of Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She devoted her life to her husband and family.

Surviving are her husband, James; daughters, Susan (Richard) Russell, Brenda (Jimmy) Sauceda, and Carla (Chris) Lofton; grandchildren, Jacob (Carrie), Jessica, Jenna (Nathan), Nicholas, Kate (Misael), Kyle (Gabi), Annie (Tristan), and Kelley (David); great-grandchildren, Tristynn, Annabelle, Levi, Elliott, Jamison, and Virginia; sister, Sandra Conklin; brother, James Olmstead. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Lula Conklin.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service.
