(June) Douglas Potter

Douglas Kent Potter 1939 - 2018

Denver, Colorado - Douglas Kent Potter, 78 of Denver, Colorado passed away July 4, 2018 after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents Neal and Margaret Potter and his bother Bruce Potter.

Douglas was born December 10, 1939 in Lansing, MI. He was a 1957 graduate of Lansing Eastern High School and a graduate of Michigan State University. He had a wonderful career in retail management that took him all over the country. He was a member of the National Guard.

While retiring in Denver, Colorado, he continued his involvement with helping feed the homeless and tutoring English as a second language.
 

Douglas is survived by his children, Sarah Potter Kose (Mehmet) of Hampton, NJ; Rachael Christenson (Tom) of Clinton Twp., NJ; David Potter (Sally) of Piscataway, NJ and his grandchildren, Samantha, Hannah, Emma and Kelly.
 

In keeping with his wishes, services will be private.

So sorry to learn of Dougs illness and death.   It was so good to talk with him at our reunion last fall. Doug and I grew up in the Holmes St. School neighborhood.....may you find comfort in knowing he is at PEACE. Deepest sympathy to al Dougs family and friends.....

My childhood home was on Walsh Street, just a block form the Potter brother's, Doug and Bruce, home.  We were playmates and friends during our youth.  So sorry to learned of Doug's passing; he will always be in my memory.  Condolences to his family.

Doug and I grew up together.  We lived across the street from each other.  So sorry to hear about his death.
