Vernon Dale Thomas
Vernon D. Thomas of Grand Ledge passed away September 25, 2018. Vern was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend who will be missed by the many lives that he touched.
Vern was born September 25, 1939 in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Vernon and Claribel (Miller) Thomas. He graduated from Eastern High School, served in The Michigan Army National Guard and was retired from General Motors.
Vern enjoyed time spent with family, reading, camping and retired life. He was also a life member of the NRA.
Vern is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Nancy J. (Van De Velde); children, Lance Harold Thomas and Heidi Marie(Don) Baley-Slack; 3 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and siblings, Don (Kathleen) Thomas and Denise (Duane) Dickerson.
A private family service will be held. Memorial contributions may be given to Mother Teresa House, 308 N. Walnut, Lansing, Michigan 48933.
