Sharon Kay (Smith) Wetoskey 

MARCH 25, 1939 – AUGUST 1, 2022

Sharon Kay Wetoskey, age 83 lived in Wisconsin, Lansing, Holt and Mason, Michigan. She was born on March 25, 1939 in Columbus, Wisconsin the daughter of Willard and Edith (Sampley) Smith.

Sharon was a 1957 graduate of Eastern High School in Lansing. She married Philip Wetoskey on March 26, 1960 in Lansing, MI. She had different jobs over the years including a clerk at Hitchens Drug Store in Holt and several temporary jobs for the State of Michigan.

Sharon was also an ordained minister. She was a member of Spiritual Episcopal Church of Lansing and Metaphysical Church of Christ.

In her free time, she loved to read and play computer games. A true animal lover who adopted many unwanted animals over the years. Sharon was loved by many people and special pets. She was a very avid MSU fan. Sharon will always be remembered for her devoted spirituality, loving heart and curious nature.

Sharon is survived by 3 children, Michael Wetoskey, Kathy (Tom) Siedelberg and David (Janet) Wetoskey; 8 grandchildren, David (Sami) Wetoskey, Jr., Joseph (Miracle) Wetoskey, Robert (Stefani) Wetoskey, Ken (Betsy) Schellenberg, Amy Runions, Betsy (Jason) Souza, Tom (Kelly) Siedelberg II and Alyse (Tim) Edinger; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Woody (Peggy) Smith, Sandra Walliczek and Terry (Peggy) Smith. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Philip Wetoskey and brother-in-law, Uwe Walliczek.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, August 111, 2022 at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, which was dear to her.
