After graduation I joined the Army, so I moved around quite a bit. I had my daughter Ashley while stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky. I got out of the the Army in 1989 and returned to Lansing until Deset Storm started, and then went to Saudi Arabia for a while. Once again I returned to Michigan, but only stayed for another year. I then moved to San Antonio for a government job at Brooke Army Medical Center. I met and married my ex-husband (a military man) there. We moved around a little more and eventually ended up in Phoenix when he got out of the Army. I have lived here in Phoenix for the last 8 years, which is a long time for me, but I can't say that this is where I am going to stay. I have been working as a Medical Technologist for 23 years now (that makes me feel really old). I am working as the Laboratory Director for a surgical specialty hospital here in Phoenix. I am also a member of a three person team that sets up new laboratories in the valley. My daughter is going to A.S.U. and doing very well for herself. I don't think she knows what she wants to be when she grows up yet, but we are not rushing things as long as she doesn't make me a grandmother until she figures it out I'm not going to stress it.
