Jeffrey Halsey

I went to college, then went on the road and became a full time Jazz Musician, then went to graduate school and became a Jazz Studies Professor AND full time still performing Jazz Musician. My two most favorite places on Earth based upon my visits to places as a professional Jazz Artist are Edinburgh, Scotland, and Cape Town, ZA! Incredibly beautiful Cities! I retired as a full time Professor of Jazz Studies at Bowling Green State University (OH), But have remained there as an adjunct for 4 more years. This year (Academic Year 2024-25) they have finally replaced my position, so I will be FULLY retired come this Fall after 42 years. Still plan to perform as a Professional Jazz double-bass and bass guitarist (at least as long as i can carry the damn bass)!.

I have many, but not enough time to "Wax Poetically" in this format!
