After high school, I attended NJC in Sterling and got my AA degree in Journalism. Then I moved to Saratoga, WY where I worked for the local newspaper and had lots of fun!! I fell in love with Wyoming and got promoted to Editor of the newspaper in Pine Bluffs, so I moved again. I met my hubby in 2002, and we were married in 2004. We currently live in Cheyenne and love it! We've got 2 beautiful kids together - Josie will be 4 in July and Sam will be 2 in June, and my stepdaughter Ashtin is 10.
My husband works for Caterpillar, and I have been lucky to stay at home with the kids for the last couple of years. I am currently back in school full time and will graduate with my teaching degree in another year and a half. I'm hoping to teach high school English!
Last year my husband was deployed to Iraq for a year, and the kids and I moved back down to Las Animas while he was gone. It was interesting being back home and working as a substitute teacher at the high school and junior high! Although it was nice to be around my family for a year, it is awesome to be back in Wyoming!

It seems like high school was always busy! I have great memories of classes, parties, and volleyball trips. Seems like we always had a good party WAY out of town, and the high schoolers today don't even know where Red Rocks is! Anyway, lots of fun times, and some hard times too.
