After high school, I was lost and had no idea what to do. I got a call from a random Air Force recruiter and then spent the next 6 years as an Air Force air traffic controller in Mississippi, California and good 'ol Clovis, New Mexico.
I went to school while in the service and later got a civilian air traffic job in a small town in Nebraska which allowed me to survive and finish undergrad. I was accepted to medical school at University of Nebraska in Omaha and finished in 2004. I moved to Columbus, OH and started my Emergency Medicine Program at The Ohio State University-graduated 2007.
I met my wife in 2004. We were married in Maui in 2006. Stayed in Columbus, OH for another six months and decided after 8 years in nebraska and 3.5 in Ohio, that was enough cold and Jan 2008 we moved to Florida.
I worked at Sacred Heart(just like scrubs) in Pensacola, Florida. We had a great year, lived in a condo right on the beach and we got pregnant, with twins!!!! We moved late 2008 to Tallahassee, FL for another job with less chaos and a yard(after spending a year on the beach, you start to miss grass, who knew?).
Apparently, I have missed the chaos and as of August 2009 we are moving to St Petersburg so that I can work in a city trauma center again.
My wife gave birth to my girls december 2008 and life has been wonderful but exhausting ever since. If only you could bottle that baby smell.
I have a dog, hula. He is a good listener.
