 The 50th Reunion of the Class of '59 is history!

July 30 Thursday The Sandia Resort & Casino was the setting for our gathering.  People began arriving for dinner, and the anticipation was clearly visible.  The fun of figuring out who was that guy or gal you had a crush on in the 10th grade was hilarious, and pretty soon everyone was talking at once.  After the initial shock of seeing how much or how little we had all changed, we dined, looked at picture from long ago, took many photos and talked far into the night.

July 31 Friday We gathered at Villanueva State Park between Santa Fe and Las Vegas for a family picnic.  The food was catered by La Risa Cafe. As we continued renewing old acquaintances and learning more about the lives of former classmates, we learned what great people they are.  We had a simple memorial poem read by Barbara Welch Richardson followed by the naming of all deceased classmates by Pete Laumbach.  As the shadows became long in the sky, we all headed our separate ways once again with heads full of wonderful thoughts and memories.  Thank you all for making our reunion so special.
