Sign My Crack

I think it was Thomas Lilley who mentioned this on Live Chat...He thought it would be fun if we wrote some of our fave things from our yearbooks. What were we thinkin' when we wrote that stuff???

My yearbooks all burned in my house fire a few years back so I cannot be specific. I still had--and cherished--my books from Ed Von Tobel Jr. High and all from EHS. My kids loved showing off to their friends how goofy we all looked with our crazy hair and weird clothes...but hey aren't those in style again???

I remember that Marty Barrett signed my Jr. High book. He later became a famous baseball player and I even collected some of his baseball cards.  My boys thought that was awesome when they were the 'baseball card' age.

I remember finding out 'who liked me' but it was usually NOT who I liked... and I remember blushing so much when that 'someone special' wrote something sweet that may or may not have meant anything other than that he knew how to use his words....

And then there were the "Best Friends" pages where we saved them the whole page and let them sign last. We poured out our hearts on those pages about past, present, and future hopes and dreams and how we would be BF forever!

I wanted EVERYONE to sign my book...even if I never even talked to you all year, and never would again. These names on my list were like treasures in my crown as I compared with my friends.

Write down your memories from your yearbooks. But hey, I was the first to sign your crack!
