I've continued to live and thrive right here in Las Vegas
UNLV graduate, BA Communications Studies, Broadcast Emphasis, Minor in Economics Theory
Paid my way through College as a hod carrier/block layer, and various part-time jobs including Credit Department at Sears...you should hear the things people can say when you cut up their credit card!
Began working in TV at FOX5 while still in college. Dub man, camera, editor, director, producer, sales service.
Left to open a production facility at an advertising agency in 1988.. Built a studio, 3 edit bays ultimately becoming the first fully component digital production facility in the state of Nevada.
Came back to FOX5 as Director of Custom Marketing. Left when news infected the facility.
Currently at Clark County as the Station Manager for CCTV4 upgrading the facility and loving life.
My married life pretty much put an end to travel other than for business. In that vein, I've been to Toronto, Nashville, Chicago, Kansas City, Orlando, Portland, Hollywood/Burbank/Studio City and always enjoyed checking out the town while there. I also have crewed for an off-road trophy truck in the pit for the Baja 1000/500, San Felipe 500 and numerous others. Since my divorce in 2002, I've hiked the Grand Canyon, surfed in SoCal, climbed numerous peaks including Half-Dome in Yosemite, Sea Kayaked in the Katchemak Bay off the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, snorkeled in Oahu (will be SCUBA certified soon). Have seen the flowing lava on the Big Island. Traveled through Italy (LOVED Florence & Pompeii) KIssed the woman I loved in Paris. Planning a trip to Australia this fall.
My children. Choosing and succeeding in a career that I still love. Numerous local and regional video awards. Member of the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Not losing sight of my passions.
Watching Sounds of the Sun. Wish I'd done that instead of playing football. Ski trips. Cruising Fremont St.
Life is better than it's ever been. I'm healthy, happy, loved, and respected. I'm enjoying playing music with various bands. I've rediscovered my love of the outdoors, leading hikes, rock climbing, kayaking and so much more. I've got 4 of my dream cars...a hot rod '67 Corvette Sting Ray, a '69 el Camino...yeah an el Camino, sorry but I love it....and I'm finishing up the '69 Camaro Convertible that you might remember from our 20th Homecoming parade, and now a '70 Chevelle Station Wagon that I'll be turning into a 2 door Nomad style phantom vehicle. Yeah, life is good and I've experienced enough, both good and bad, to genuinely appreciate those around me and what I have.
