Places Where You Hung Your Hat:

Since High School I have lived in Biloxi, MS; Fort Worth, TX; Moerfelden, Germnay; Blytheville, AR; Tonopah, NV; Albuquerque/Edgewood, NM; and Escondido, CA.

Schools:

I went to Technical School (10-1/2 Months) in the Air Force at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS.
I received an AAS Degree in Avionics Systems Technology through Community College of the Air Force.
I received an AGS Degree (General Studies) through Mississippi County Community College, Blytheville, AR. My major was Math and Science, and my GPA was 3.97/4.0...Highest Honors.
Currently working on an Antenna Engineering Certificate through Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA.

Labor Days (35 years on the job force...what jobs have you done?):

Pretty simple, really...
I joined the AF in July '76, and stayed in till Jun '86, working in Electronic Warfare on B-52D and B-52G bombers, and also for 3 years on MC-130E Combat Talon I Herculese Special Operations aircraft.
I went to Tonopah, NV, working for REECO, from Sep '86 to Jun '88, installing and repairing Fire and Security systems, Cable TV systems, and other miscellaneous electronics..
I then went to work for Sandia National Labs, Albuquerque, NM, for 15-1/2 years, performing Antenna and other RF Measurements in a Research and Development environment.
Then, finally, I came to San Diego to work for Composite Optics, Inc, in 2004, which was subsequently bought up by ATK. I am still working with ATK Space Systems as an Associate Engineer II, testing Antennas and other things in a National Defense capacity.

Been There Done That (travels):

I played and sang in a Country & Rock band in Vegas for the last two years of High School, plus a lot of my first year out of high school. I still play and sing somewhat, but since I received Jesus in March of '98, now I only play for the Glorification of Jesus by playing worship music for the Mission trips I go on. My old life of heavy drinking, drowning in my sorrows, and chasing women in bars is dead and gone, all praise and glory to Jesus!!
I had gotten involved in the Rodeo scene during High School and did that till I got in the AF, and then had to kind of "put it away" for a while. Getting back into it never really happened. I did get to enter into a rodeo in Worms, Germany (European Rodeo Association) back in 1980, but it turned out to be the worst rodeo anyone could imagine! Countless people got hurt in the events, a WWII mortar shell was found next to our camp site and underneath our "neighbor's" RV, one section of the bleachers fell down during the events sending several people to the hospital, an elderly woman had a heart attack, a friend of mine received a broken Collar Bone in the Wild Horse Race, and so many other things went bad...That was the last rodeo I attempted to participate in.
I had the opportunity to go to Paris for a honeymoon while I was in Europe, and also to tour several German Castles. I also traveled to Scotland, England, France, Greece and some places I can't mention. (Some of these travels were "official duty" and some were "personal".)
Since becoming a Christian in '98, I have gotten involved in Missions work and have traveled to Gangtok, Sikim, India, and Cartagena, Colombia on Missions trips. I also have gone on uncountable Missions trips to Ciudad Juarez, Cuauthemoc, Tecate, and El Testerazo, all in Mexico. While the trips were awesome cultural experiences for me, the most important, rewarding and exciting part of them for me was seeing people, sometimes entire families at a time, receiving Jesus as their Lord and Saviour! I got to experience the poverty of Ciudad Juarez and El Testerazo, MX, as well as Calcuta, India. I got to travel through Singapore and Tokyo on the way to and from India, as well. And while in India, we were at the foothills of the Himilayas. I learned that Leeches live at more than 6000 feet altitude, which I didn't know before.
After my divorce in '87, I received custody of my daughter. She and I moved to Albuquerque after that, and I raised her by myself. Now THAT was an experience! I learned so much through that, I can't even begin to tell you!

Major Accomplishments:

Receiving Jesus and doing Missions.
Lots of work for National Defense that I can't tell you about.
Raising my daughter on my own.
Received Two Associate's Degrees.
Learned to get out of/let go of the "fantasy world" of how I thought LIFE should be, and to accept it for what/how it really is...
Re-marrying and having a baby boy after 19-1/2 years of being divorced/single!

Favorite Memories From EHS:

Trig class, and German Class, in particular. Going down to the 7-11 for a Ham & Cheese sandwich for lunch.

Anything Else That We Should Know About You:

I feel I turned out pretty "lay back"...I don't believe in being prudish, or arrogant. I take people as they are. I believe in doing an honest day's work for an honest day's pay, and I treat everyone as a friend untill they give me a reason to do otherwise.
I believe in forgiving, but don't believe in letting myself be taken advantage of.

My favorite thing is to read the Bible (in numerous versions, languages and translations) and to tell others about Jesus. I also like to go camping, fishing, boating, shooting and swimming. I like to cook and play the guitar. I like good Worship Music, also. I also like to tinker with electronics at home as a hobby. I also like doing my own maintenance on my own vehicles whenever possible! I like Photography, and enjoy making Promotional Video Clips in support of Missions trips.

I enjoy using the Bible and good Science to debunk such things as Evolution, global warming, and the like. I fully believe in a Creator God and a literal six (6) day creation. I believe in the Bible without any extraneous books and or human ideologies being added to it.

Things I do NOT like are Hypocrites, Television, Movies with immoral themes, Secular Music, mean spirited people or overly aggressive people.

Politically, I am a conservative. Very much so, even! I believe each person should be responsible for their own actions and words. I believe in disciplining a child to keep them on the right path. I believe there ARE Moral absolutes, as dictated by God in the Bible. I also believe that WITHOUT Moral Absolutes, society will deteriorate into Socialism and then on into Totalitarianism, Dictatorships and Anarchy if corrective actions are not taken.

Favorite foods are Carne Asada, Pinto Beans & Cornbread, Shrimp (Scampi and other types), Catfish and Tilapia, Gumbo, Jagerschnitzel, Jerry's Nugget's huge Prime Ribs, Venison, Elk, Buffalo, Barbecue, Fried Cheddar Cheese, New Mexico Green Chilles, oh, and did I mention, "I just flat out like food?"

I don't believe in purchasing brands from corporations that support ideologies that I disagree with, such as Gun Control and anti-Biblical viewpoints. I am boycotting all PepsiCo products, including FritoLay, KFC, Taco Bell, McDonalds, and numerous others due to their blatant support of things and lifestyles that are Anti-Biblical.

Well, that pretty much covers it, tho I am sure there is more that could be said. However, it isn't about me, it is about what Jesus did in my life, that really matters. And what is so neat is that anyone willing to receive Him can experience this, also.
