Fallen hero, John C. Griffith, 33, died Friday, May 5, 2006, in Afghanistan while bravely serving his country. He was born Jan. 22, 1973, in Milwaukee. A 1991 graduate of Eldorado High School, he joined the U.S. Army in 1991. While on reserve status he worked at Ahern Equipment Rental. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine. He is survived by his wife, Christa; and three children of Henderson; parents, Robert and Barbara of Pahrump; brother, Robert; sister, Kathy (Les) Tyler; grandparents, John and Edythe, all of Las Vegas; along with extended family throughout the United States.
