Kenneth Lemke

Kenneth C. Lemke passed away on August 25, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and has been a resident of Buffalo Wyoming since the mid 90’s while being a snow bird in Las Vegas. Ken served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 8 years, and was fortunate to not have been deployed during the Vietnam War. Part of his work experience included working at the test site during the era of above ground nuclear testing. In 1960 he became a Firefighter for Clark County for over 30 years. In his spare time, he liked to ride his trike, drive his Corvette, take the motorhome around the country.  He was a gun enthusiast, and a ham radio operator, played video poker, and enjoyed the Reno air races for 43 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Janet S. Lemke; stepdaughters, Shawna O’Callahan and Leslie Ann Darling; and his grandchildren, Breanna Darling, Christina Darling, Nathan Fleshman, Megan Fleshman, Dillon Darling, and Tyler O’Callahan.  Memorial donations can be made in his honor to the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be sent to his wife Janet S. Lemke at P.O. Box 4831, Pahrump NV 89041.  (Note:  Yearbook photo not available).
