Georgia May Mitchell Wadlington Davidson, 79, passed away Aug. 6, 2017, surrounded by family and friends, in Las Vegas, after a valiant fight with cancer. Georgia was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa, and spent her entire life in Las Vegas, going to the Fifth Street School and graduating in 1956 from Las Vegas High School. In 1956, she also started working as an operator at Centel Telephone Company, which was downtown at the time and from where she retired. "Mom will surely be missed by all. Peace be with her." Georgia is survived by her former husband, John Wadlington; sons, Mark, Steve and Robert Wadlington; daughter, Sheila Wadlington; two grandchildren, Jacob Bram and Aaleyha; two sisters, Shirley Lyons and Carol Ogle; and several nieces and nephews. No services are scheduled.
