Curt Spaven – died in West Frankfort, IL on June 10, 2017.  He married Glenda Helms in 1969 and they had five daughters, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  He did architectural drafting and formerly owned SI Video in West Frankfort.  He was the Mayor of Freeman Spur, IL, a village near West Frankfort.  He loved his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.  He was also a movie buff and enjoyed tennis.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and loved Las Vegas.  Military rites were accorded by the American Legion Post 1961 of Orient, VFW Post 5764 of West Frankfort, Zeigler Post 177 and Honor Guard of Marion.  On-line condolences may be sent to www.unionfh.com.
