James Neil Arnold died at the age of 54 in Nampa, ID on 11/19/92 of natural causes, while hunting.  He is buried in the Hillcest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.  Neil was born in Overton, NV and moved to Las Vegas in his junior year of high school.  After graduating from LVHS in 1956 he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas.  On February 22, 1957 he married Betty Anderson in the St. George, UT LDS Temple and they made their home in Las Vegas.  After he was discharged from the Air Force he worked with the sheriff's office until moving to Nampa in 1966.  He was employed as a water master for the Nampa-Meridian Irrigation District for 20 years.  He enjoyed sports and coached little league football, basketball and baseball.  He also enjoyed umpiring little league baseball games.  He loved fishing and hunting, the outdoors, art, and spending time with his family.  He had two sons, three daughters and 15 grandchildren.
