Robin Bogich

Robin Bogich died in Reno on 12/10/97 at the age of 59 from Lou Gehrig’s disease.  He was a Washoe County Registrar of Voters from 1968 until 1990.  He went to work for the City of Reno in 1962 as an Engineering Department Researcher.  He was a Chief Deputy City Clerk from 1960 to 1971, then City Manager in 1977.  He was Deputy Secretary of State in 1984.  After he was diagnosed with ALS, he devoted his life to fund-raising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and volunteered himself for experimental programs to combat the disease.  He was survived by his wife, Judy Buck Bogich, two daughters and one son, and seven grandchildren.
