
Sandy died 05/29/15. She lived in Ogden, UT. Sandy loved the rodeo. In 1956 she was the Rodeo Queen for the Napa Stampede. She helped start the Las Vegas Women’s Pro-Rodeo Circuit, along with the Idaho Girl’s Rodeo Association. She competed in the Miss Idaho contest in 1957. She married her first husband, Dwight Odermott, in 1960; they divorced in 1963. She married Robert Allen in 1964. They moved to Echo Canyon and began working at the Echo Information Center in 1989. Sandy became a historian on Echo Canyon, knowing all about the Pony Express and Mormon Trail. She was recognized for helping with the writing of the book “Pathway to Glory: The Pont Express and Stage Stations in Utah”. Sandy retired after 19 years as a Manager for the Utah Travel Council at the Echo Information Center which was #1 in the U.S. for information and cleanliness. She is survived by two sons, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
