Chester Olds

Chester Olds died in West Point, UT on October 3, 2002.   

He was born April 20, 1938, in Richfield, Utah, to Lewis and Lois Olds. Chet's early years were spent in Cedar City. He attended Dixon Junior High in Provo and graduated from Las Vegas High in 1956. He served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy.

On June 5, 1964, he married his sweetheart, Marilyn Giles, in the Los Angeles Temple. They are the parents of five children: Tim, Salt Lake City; Tony (Diane), West Point; Dan (Cathy), Lehi; Suzy (John) Hubenthal, Clinton; and Cindy (Kevin) Pendleton, Roy.

Chet faithfully served in many organizations of the LDS Church. He especially enjoyed working with his scouts. He retired from HAFB after 34 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children; sisters Margo and DiAnn; in-laws Nancy, Harold and Dorothy; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and grandson, Trevor.

He is buried in the West Point Memorial Cemetery in West Point, UT.
