Louis Reitz

Died on 08/22/12 in Las Vegas.  He was born Oct. 17, 1937, in Phonette, Texas, and moved to Las Vegas when he was six months old, where his father was working on the construction of Hoover Dam. While at Las Vegas High School, he served as the manager of the Nevada State Basketball Champions in 1956.  He went on to the University of Nevada, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1961. After his return to Las Vegas, he became a realtor and owned and managed United Realty. He was a member of the Board of Realtors for 15 years and was chosen Realtor of the Month several times. Lou was an avid outdoorsman and an expert hunter, guiding several successful desert bighorn sheep hunts in the local mountains, as well as spending a season in the Yukon guiding big game hunters in Canada. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Susan Reitz; and two daughters.

I knew Lou from grade school into college.  An avid sportsman and hunter, also into real estate.  A good friend for many decades.
