Fred died 12/09/15.  After graduating from LVHS, Fred entered the U.S. Navy.  He then spent 11 years as a medic at the Nevada Test Site.  He married his first wife, Glenda Smith and they had three children.  He also graduated from UNLV with a Registered Nurse degree.  He moved to Oklahoma in 1972 and graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine with a Physician Assistant Degree.  He ended his career as Medical Director at the VA Medical Clinic for Substance Abuse in Tulsa.  He spent many years in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Warrant Officer Medical.  In 1984 he married his late wife Lois Johnson and added 3 more children to his family.  He enjoyed deer hunting, camping and fishing while visiting many National Parks and historical markers.  He later enjoyed sailing and spent many happy days in his small sailboard.  In 1998 he married Jenneth Karnes and became “Papa Fred” to 3 more children.  He and Jenneth lived in Claremore, OK and enjoyed many road trips, cruises, and riding their Harley across the country in WWII bombers greeting veterans.  He is survived by his wife, Jenneth and brother Larry of class of 1959.  He had three children and four step-children, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
