I wanted to let you know that Frederick "Bear" Palmer passed away on July 31, 2011. He fought leukemia, and was in remission. He had coded at home on May 19, 2011. Our daughter, Valerie, is an ER nurse, and if not for her efforts we would have lost him that night. He had many complications from the code, but had overcome most of them. We thought he was going to get through it, and come out the other side with his disease under control, but that did not happen as we had hoped.

I am now living in Bradenton, FL.
