I have been associated with the Trucking industry since i got out of school. I was in business with my Dad and brothers from graduation until we sold the business in 1982. I drove truck over the road for 4 years after that for Mau Trucking in Ida Grove. In 1986 I had an opportunity to become Operations Manager for B-T Inc here in Le Mars. In 1995 Decker Truck Line from Ft Dodge purchased the company from Jim Brownmiller. I was Operations Manager until 2006 when i assumed the Director of Sales possition. In January 2009 I was 'downsized' out of my position at B-T, Inc. I was Director of Sales and Marketing for a trucking company in Hudsonville, Michigan for approx 2 years. I spend alot of time in Michigan but I also travel all over the country soliciting business with our major accounts. At that time my wife Kathy and i also raise, train and show Quarter Horses and operate a State of Nebraska certified Dog Kennel and breed Siberian Huskies, Labradors, Toy Poodles, Yorkies, Yorkipoos, Snorkies and other Designer breeds. I have 8 Grand Children (I miss u Brendan, 2006-2008). After my job in Michigan, I was Director of Operations for Goodwill of the Great Plains. I have been General Manager of Power Only Transport and Northern Plains Logistics as well as Transportation Manager for Mid-States Utility since 2012. Looking forward to retirement... someday!!
I also try to fish whenever I get a chance and have fished in numorous Walleye tournaments in South Dakota and Minnesota. I like to watch Nascar races and have been to a number of races, the most recent was The Brickyard 400 In Indianapolis (2008). I also raise train and show Quarter Horses with my daughter Tobi.
