Thanks for the free shuttle info, Billie! The cops will be out in full force that night when they hear of the reunion and our class slogan, "88 parties great!"

Anne - there is a Hampton Suites near Best Western - next to where the Raquet Club used to be.

07/30/08 07:48 PM #861

Chris Monroe

All there is also a Comfort Suites behind Days Inn right there in the same area.

Mr. Monroe, r u plannin on writing on anybody w/ a sharpie at this event?

07/30/08 08:12 PM #863

Anne Tiller

The racquet club is gone?

07/30/08 08:20 PM #864

Amy Harper

Yeah - they tore it down a year or so ago. Really, there aren't going to be any local landmarks left in a few years. But don't worry, there'll be plenty of banks.

hey Amy, ur the one w/ law enforcement contacts? u can keep em off our backs, right? is Jeff Duboet (i know i'm spelling it wrong) still big w/ the Leesburg force?

07/31/08 09:33 AM #866

Amy Harper

Chris - Dube is still with LPD. Unfortunately, since I'm with the county and the county has grown so much and there are so many new people, I don't know most of the LPD patrol guys anymore. When I first started, everybody knew everybody in both agencies.

Drinking my coffee this morning, doing some idle web surfing . . .

Brendhan Pelot (Pelot)

What do you come up with when you are doing focused web surfing? ;-)

07/31/08 12:03 PM #869

Walter Yarbrough

Heh.

Doing a presentation for the Interns here.

I have a Dark Knight poster, a Dr. horrible poster, a brokentoys image, a Kangaroo Jack poster, this info on Kangaroo Jack:

60 M budget
Grossed 17M first weekend
#1 Movie in America Jan 19, 2003

And Jerry Bruckheimer's date of birth.

Oh, and one of the best management books I have read is apparently on the web:

Peopleware

That's focused searching. Focused searching at home covers different topics :)

Speaking of Dark Knight--effing AWESOME movie!! We saw it last night and in my humble opinion not only is it the BEST superhero movie ever made, it's one of the best action movies EVER! Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite, but I'm putting it way up there. Everyone said it was 20 minutes too long, but I didn't want it to end!! Go see it if you haven't....

Walter Yarbrough

Totally agree. Great movie.

I liked "Stepmom" with Julia Roberts. I laughed, I cried and then I laughed and cried some more.

Anne Tiller

Totally agree. Great movie.

Molly Hardison (Rutherford)

Thanks to everyone for all the congrats messages. I haven't had time to add my usual inappropriate comments to the message board lately...with a very hungry newborn and a demanding 2 year old. Did I mention my totally insane mother and completely clueless (on another planet entirely) father? No wonder I'm wacko.

Molly, sounds like all you need are some good drugs...fortunately you can subscribe them for yourself. ;-)

Ok, we all know what some will (or won't) be wearing after the reunion. What's the plan for the actual reunion. Suit & Vest? Understanding that Brendan will have his pants off during major portions of the evening.

I've got a black tie wedding during part of my trip down there, I could go with the tux . . .

Nah, no suit for me, I'm goin blue jeans. And I wont even feel a bit under dressed if the rest of you go formal or even business casual ;) Besides, i'm going to bring some old 80's thrash to slip into the music system and coerce Seekford to start a mosh pit with me, I wouldnt want to mess up my nice clothes.

I'm thinking "Best Buy" Casual might be the right choice:

Keith are you going to Go-Go cuff your jeans? You were a fantastic Go-Go cuffer back in the day....

08/04/08 01:36 PM #880

Amy Harper

Why is it so quiet here today? I need something to read to keep me entertained at work.

08/04/08 02:26 PM #881

Keith Barrack

Brendhan.....
Brendhan, Brendhan, Brendhan....

I said it back in the day and I'll say it again now:

They were metal cuffs dammit!

Wendy Cubbison (Huybrechts)

Ladies - What are you planning to wear to Shenanigans? A few people have asked me about the dress code (there isn't one but no one wants to be over- or under-dressed). Tell me what you're planning to wear! Naked is not an acceptable answer, Anne! ;-)

08/04/08 02:54 PM #883

Chris Colson

i think Anne should come naked, say she's making a west coast statement!

Keith, yeah, they were METAL cuffs

there's a real good pic in one of the yearbooks w/ Jennifer Horne, Molly and a bunch of others and u can't miss the CUFFS
