Monica, just wait til they come home and ask if they can go to Auburn for football game.. The catch being it's only 7 guys going and they want to spend the night... No parents... And can you believe i let him go. Thinking now, he's going with 3 of Pat Dye's grandchildren and Pat Dye got them GOOD ticket, oh they'll be good... Let's put it like this, on the drive home one of the boys threw up the whole way home and all the boys said "He must have the stomach virus"!!!! Yeah, right!!! That's something we would have said...

Yes, I was scared of Mrs. Mattox also...I remember one day I was so sick but I would not miss a day in her class because she would give you a hard time. Unfornately, I don't have any funny memories to share because my parents were so strict on John and me, we didn't get to do anything wild/fun/exciting...but it's fun reading all of your memories...

Lisa Adams (Maplesden)

You know the sad thing is my parents were strict too, but I did ALOT of not always telling the truth... I think that is why I try with my kids to let them do things and talk very openly with them about any and everything... I know they are going to do things and try things I just try to tell them to be smart and don't do STUPID stuff that could hurt them or someone else... Lord knows I did ALOT of sneaking...BUT it was either sneak or stay home and I hated to be home..(go figure)))

Lisa Adams (Maplesden)

I quit December 16th... They were about to drive me CRAZY.... To many kids to keep up (they want a job, but don't want to work..)))) When I started getting calls from mama's wanting to know what was going on, I knew it was time for me to go.. I have become VERY outspoken and I expected them do work and do what I asked of them and I don't want to talk to mama's about it... Anyway, Mark's daughter (he owned the cleaners)) opened up a Monogram & gift store in East Limestone..(about 1/2 mile off hwy 72 on east limestone road) and I work for her.. It's fun and different, never did that kind of work before...

I have realized in my mature years that our parents were not as stupid as we thought they were. Ellis Wayne (my dad) knew more of what I did than he let on when we were young....Glenda (mom) didn't have a clue. Since the statue of limitations have run out on MOST of the things I did as a teenager, I have confessed alot of our wild ways to my parents. They were not surprised at what we did nor who was all involved....yes I told on you all!

So Jamie, have u talked to Jay Brownlow recently? Why hasn't he entered his info? Is he planning to come to reunion? And I'm still working on Terry 'Puddin' Grigsby!

And in response to what Jessica said...YES! My parents knew MUCH more than they let on! Daddy says he is gonna sit back and enjoy Brian n I stressin over these teenage years! I eventually confessed that I HATED being Coach Seibert's daughter... Ha ha.

Speaking of home ec. and funny stories. Lisa, we never did find out who ratted the guys out for spitting in the cucumber dip we fixed for the girls area tourny coaches. Mrs. Davis gave some of us F's for that six weeks... which is fine, I dont like cucumber dip anyway

I hear ya'll all the way on that STRICT PARENTS thing! I never did anything wild back in the day, just study, study, study. It's really paid off though, all that hard work. In great memory of Mrs. Scott " Bread, hit dat doh! Off to office you go!!"

I know times are hard and the economy is horrible, so I thought I would let everyone in on a little money deal, a savings opportunity if you will. It's very simple and can be done online, via mail, or phone (in just a matter of minutes mind you). I did it a few months back and it has really opened up alot of free space in the 'ol billfold, if you know what I mean. Well enough about that, check it out for yourselves. I just saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico!!
