Barlow...Do you remember forgetting yours science book and you and Brad came to my house so you could get your homework? You were doing your work (like a good boy) and Brad and I were playing Atari (yes, Atari!) and my granddaddy came down and chased you and Brad down the road with his cane!LOL I am still embarrassed about that!

Chris Barlow

No they didn't. Brad Phillips saw me get the worst beating ever one time at Monsanto's family day.

I actually think we did try to fix something on it.. Like the brake or something bent and we tried to fix it so they wouldn't know.. It was soooo cool.. He's the only one that had a yellow one. Just glad we didn't get hurt.. You see so many now a days dying on those things, it's a thousand wonders we made it thru our childhood days... God, didn't we have FUN...

For CPR ah.. we had to each buy our mouthpieces so we wouldn't spread the love!

anybody remember any of Mr. Long's jokes?
How about "Once there was this Tennessee fan who had a new thermos. He didn't know what it was for, so the Auburn guy told him it would keep hot things hot and cold things cold. The next day the Tennessee guy shows up with his new thermos all happy. "What's inside your thermos?" The Tennessee guy smiled and said, "Hot chili and ice cold tea!" Many ha-has! (Remember Mr. Long saying that?

We did try to fix the handle bar...it was bent...It was Jason Patterson's fault for running into us!LOL (and maybe the fact Lisa didn't know how to drive the thing)
The no shirt pic was not MY doing...think it was Monica.

The swimming party was at my house. Somebody jumped in the deep end with Jessica in their arms. She couldn't swim aaaannnndddd.... her bikini top fell down! Oops, Jessica. Was it Tutor? Can't remember.

what did I do to get the beating? - Gerald specifically told me not to go to the river. I had on a brand new pair of Stan Smith Addidas tennis shoes. Brad convinced me (my version of the story) to go to the river. When I returned to the "family day" festivities, DOOMSDAY. Gerald squeezed two of my fingers and told me to wait in the truck. The rest is all a blur.

Anybody notice how ripped Terry Grigsby was in one of the photos? That guy was a hoot! The photos of all us girls are horrible!

Too bad Dimple didn't have the tree from your yard to break a switch. I remember getting haircuts at your house in what is now Gerald and Dimple's bedroom. You had to walk beside the refrigerator and bar stools, step down to the other room to get a haircut. Thought we were really moving up when Gerald built her the shop. Remember Darren and Brian saying they would pay us if we kissed, then backed out on their end of the deal. You were in on a lot of innocent kissing back then, Barlow!

Looking back on it now - we must've been desperate for money because Dimple wouldn't cut a head of hair within 50 feet of her kitchen today.

Chris Barlow

OK guys - Sorry I missed the get together. Hope I can make the next one. I'm having to keep my eyelids open with toothpicks right now though. Let's keep in touch.
